Guten Tag snow bunnies and funky Alp monsters

Well we are currently on a train in Switzerland coming down from Zermatt in the Swiss Alps after bumming around the Matterhorn all morning and all we can say is… Gee we had a deprived childhood growing up without snow in Queensland.

OK… sure beaches and surf is nice, but since Avril only saw snow for the first time at age 21 in Denver and I only saw snow for the first time at age 27 in Antarctica… being in the Alps has made us wet our panties so much that we’ve left little yellow snow trails everywhere…

Yesterday we took the amazing Glacier Express train which winds for 7½ hours through the Alps from glitzy St Moritz in the east to Zermatt at the base of the Matterhorn in the south-west… And it was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!!

It’s considered to be one of the great train rides of the world and the scenery was so beautiful that we squealed so much that I think we both prolapsed a sphincter or two… Continue reading →

Hey There Dudes and Dudettes…

MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS AND A SNAPPY NEW EAR FROM IRELAND!!!

Well, we are currently in a town called Trim just north of Dublin and all we can say is… Thank GOD Christmas is over….!!!!

Now don’t get me wrong… this was our first northern hemisphere COLD Christmas and the Christmas spirit and atmosphere here in Ireland was definitely way better than sweltering in a 40 degree Australian Christmas…

However, we reckon that the only reason that the Christmas cheer is so good over here is because they really need all the bright lights and shopping to cheer them up since the weather is so BLEAK and crap…

Not to mention, that after hearing Bob Geldof telling us that “…there won’t be snow in Africa this Christmas time…” fifty times a day on the radio and in shopping centres… we now totally want to shove his Band Aid right up his Boomtown Crack…

…And also after hearing “Last Christmas” by Wham twenty times an hour… not even replacing the word “Heart” with “Fart” is able to bring a smile to our faces anymore…

…No… OK, I lied about that one… “Last Christmas I gave you my fart” ALWAYS cracks us up!!! Continue reading →

Friday January 6th pooped on my head.
I woke up sick with fevers, chills and sweats.
I realised my passport was missing, lost, unable to be found.
And I got a parking ticket when I went to re-trace my steps at the carpark where I think I lost my passport.
Gah!
