Hydrospeeding And Woolly Bully Pachyderms In Slovenia

19/7/06

Dober Dan to all you dudes, dudettes and other furry pachyderms…

Well, we are currently in Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia and this afternoon we just got back from an absolutely HUGE cave system called The Skocjan Caves, which are the most amazing caves that we have ever seen!!!

Man… these caves are friggin GI-NORMOUS since the main cavern is over 160m deep and is crisscrossed with bridges that look exactly like the caves where Gandalf fought the big fire demon Balroc in Lord Of The Rings…

It was actually SO cool down there, that we TOTALLY had to resist yelling “You shall not pass!!!” at all the other Italian tourists in our group…

But unfortunately whilst we were scrambling in the bowels of the earth, I discovered a DARK secret that Avril has been harbouring for all the years that I have known her…!!! Continue reading

Czech Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself At The Nuke Festival In Austria

16/7/06

Dobry Den to all you Rock Chicks, Bohemian Ravers and Arty Farty Slavs

Well we are currently in a car driving from Vienna in Austria to Lake Bled in Slovenia and yesterday we TOTALLY ROCKED our socks off to THE PIXIES at the 2 day Nuke festival in St Polten just outside of Vienna!!!

HOLY CRAP Man… even despite lead singer Frank Black having bigger man boobs than Robert Smith from The Cure, he TOTALLY ROCKED harder than… er… um… a hard rock…???

In fact, the whole 2 day festival was AWESOME!!! The Pixies belted out an hour and a half of their classic stuff non-stop, which caused our friend Allan to TOTALLY blow his load until his “monkey was gone to heaven”… Continue reading

Amsterdamage On The Way To Berlin

5/7/06

Guten Morgen to all you funky cats and damaged hamsters

Well, we are currently on a train from Berlin to Prague and since the World Cup is almost over, we figured it’s about time for another blog update.

Now after our last blog we got quite a few people commenting on how yummy Avril looked in her Aussie cossie bikini but we’ve now discovered… much to Avril’s dismay… that ALL girls can obtain the same level of superheroine powers if only they can get their hands on an Aussie bikini too!!!

We only discovered this in the last couple of weeks however, since we’ve now done a superhero team up with Darlene and Allan (aka DJ & MR LUSH)… who are some friends from home who SHOULD be at home housesitting our Batcave and cat, but who have actually decided to defect to Europe for 6 weeks.

Like us, they also scored some tickets to the World Cup in Berlin along with some other friends Libby and Olaf… And it was on their way to the Germany Vs Argentina game that we discovered that the source of all Avril’s superpowers, is not actually in her b.reasts, but actually in her Aussie bikini BRA!!!!

Now we didn’t witness this firsthand, but… man… Avril lent Darlene her Aussie bikini top for the game and even though there were no other Aussies dressed up for the game, as soon as Darlene took her top off, she was apparently swamped by people wanting to take her photo!!!

HOLY COW… It now seems that Avril’s superpowers are actually TRANSFERABLE, and although we didn’t realise it at the time… the bikini must TOTALLY be like a Green Lantern power ring, since by wearing it, Darlene was bestowed camera attracting superpowers far beyond those of mortal b.reasts… Continue reading

World Cup Germany: Australia Vs Brazil & Bikinis Vs Schlongs

24/6/06

Guten Tag and GO YOU GOOD AUSSIE!!! to all Soccer Yobbos and Football Schmooligans out there…

Well, we are currently on a train from Frankfurt to Amsterdam and HOLY CRAP we have had SO much fun in Germany with the World Cup over this last week, that I almost wasn’t going to write a blog and just send you to the photos since words can not describe how much of a PISS FUNNY time we’ve had!!!

Now, normally at home we aren’t big sports fans at all, but Australia hasn’t been in the World Cup for 32 years, so when our friend Kendall offered to get us tickets we were DEFINITELY keen.

In fact, we figured that the World Cup is such a spectacle that we would have just been happy watching Togo Vs Uzbekistan… So we TOTALLY almost blew our load when she emailed us to say that we had scored tickets to the AUSTRALIA VS BRAZIL match in Munich!!!!

Man… we were COMPLETELY AMAZED since we later found out that getting tickets from FIFA was TOTALLY harder than getting syphilis from a nun… Continue reading

Istanbullied In A Hamam In Turkey

15/6/06

Merhaba to all you Turks, Turkettes and other furry Turkeys

Well, we are currently sitting in our hotel on Taksim Square in Istanbul after 2 weeks bumming around Turkey and today I discovered that a great EVIL lurks amongst us.

This morning after finishing our fantastic Turkish cooking class, we decided to go for a Hamam (traditional Turkish bath) in a local 400 year old Hamami.

Now for those of you who haven’t had a Hamam, the basic idea is that you sit in a massive steam room on a marble slab whilst a heavy handed Turkish man or woman soaps you down and then scrubs the shit out of your skin with a wire hard loofa and then tries to crack all the bones in your body.

Well, we had met an American girl at our class who said that she thought the whole experience was a bit scary and humiliating as they kept stopping to tell her how filthy she was. And originally I seriously thought she was a bit of a pussy… But man… I soon found out how WRONG I was!!! Continue reading

Ced & Avril’s Greek Geek Odyssey In Greece

2/6/06

Hey there and Yasus to all you Greek Gods and Geek Goddesses out there

Well, we are currently on the Greek island of Samos just 3kms off the coast of Turkey and since this is our last day in Greece after island hopping for the last couple of weeks, we thought we’d take the time to update our travel blog and fill you in on yet another of Ced & Avril’s quests for COOLNESS…

Firstly, we rocked into Athens 2 weeks ago and compared to Iceland we found it hot, dirty, smelly and chaotic… and we TOTALLY LOVED it!!!

Man… the Greeks are probably THE MOST friendly and hospitable people that we have come across in all our travels, and even though Greece can be a little bit grotty, it’s been a real pleasure to travel here since they really are SO vibrant and welcoming. Continue reading
